Nissan Maxima
Two versions of the 2004 Nissan Maxima are built at the company's North American
assembly plant in Smyrna, Tenn. The Maxima 3.5 SE is the standard sporty model
and the Maxima 3.5 SL is the upgraded luxury model. Standard equipment includes
dual-zone automatic climate control; cruise control; power windows with automatic
up/down for the front doors; power door locks with remote keyless entry; a Home
Link universal transmitter; a trip computer; an outside temperature display; rear
air-conditioning vents; a leather-wrapped steering and shift knob; automatic on/off
headlights; and a 240-watt CD sound system with steering wheel controls.
A SkyView roof is also standard. SkyView's tinted strip of glass stretches in
a narrow band from the front to the rear seats, and can be closed off with shades
to reduce sun glare. It does not open, but it does help to make the Nissan Maxima's
interior feel more spacious and also differentiates the Maxima from its numerous
competitors.
Nissan Maximas equipped with the optional power sunroof do not have SkyView.
The Maxima engine is topnotch, having appeared seven times on Ward's Auto World
"Ten Best Engines" list. It has optional 6-speed manual transmission, sport-tuned
suspension, antilock brakes, traction control system, electronic brake force distribution
and engine speed-sensitive steering that automatically varies the level of power
assist according to engine rpm.
On the outside, the Maxima boasts camera-lens-style headlights, chrome-rimmed
taillights, large rear-door windows, and a new grille and bumper fascia that is
bold and beautiful. On the inside, 2004 2005 Nissan Maxima amenities include:
height-adjustable center armrest; 60/40 split-rear seat; trip computer; premium
Bose audio system; auto-dimming rearview mirror. Maxima's design helps reinforce
the way it drives. And Nissan Maxima Nissan Parts reinforce the way it performs. With features like the Maxima's, high-performance
is far more than an image.
